As if in a dream, two "levels of reality" meet in this painting that would never come together in real life. A young, athletic golfer is playing golf in an abandoned house and is about to take her last shot.
On the one hand, this work plays with the human perception of things. You see things that somehow don't fit together and yet you believe what you see because it is actually visible.
On the other hand, you try to put yourself in the position… of the golfer and think about which direction the golf ball will be hit - not into the darkness of the next room? Maybe, maybe not.
