I captured the quiet mystery of this forest in the Florida Everglades National Park using analogue black-and-white photography, embracing its timeless essence. The soft focus and subtle contrasts evoke a dreamlike stillness, inviting viewers to lose themselves in nature’s serene whispers. This piece brings a contemplative energy, transforming any space into a sanctuary of calm and reflection.
This image was captured with an 4 x 5" large format pinhole… camera. A pinhole camera has no viewfinder, no lens, and no electronics.
- The finished product is a fine art print on high quality archival paper with archival pigment ink.
- Prints are made to order
- Professionally packaged, insured, and shipped rolled up in a large, oversized tube.
- Other sizes and options available upon request
- Certificate of authenticity is included
I love working with one of my vintage cameras. My cameras range in age from 85 to 45 years old and in film formats from 2 1/4 × 2 1/4 inch to 8 × 10 inch. I also love working with alternative processes, such as pinhole photography. Somebody said once about one of my pinhole Everglades images that the image Really conveys that Everglades look! That was one of the nicest comments I have ever received. Is that not what photographers are going for? That moment that the subject, the viewer, and the photographer all become one?
Over the years, I had several solo and shared shows in The Netherlands and West Palm Beach, FL. Currently, I have work in a permanent gallery inside the Gaylord Hotels and Resorts in Orlando. FL., other nationwide ventures, and private collectors. I am an active board member of the Homestead Center of the Arts.
