About this artwork
A few years ago, I participated in a painting course, where one of the tasks was to paint a picture entirely with yellow, black and white.
I found a good motif, and with the oil paint I was able to create both the diffuse, soft transitions and the clearly drawn lines.
While I was working on the work, a memory of a late night in Hamburg, where I had to change trains came to mind, and then a small, lonely figure appeared. I wanted the work to have… a dynamic energy, but also a meditative atmosphere.
