About this artwork
In this image, I explore memory as a dark and fragmented territory, where recollection appears more as pressure than clarity. The figure, almost absorbed by shadow, inhabits an exterior space that functions as an interior cell: a place of forced confinement and silent resistance.
Cold architecture acts as a material memory; its surfaces preserve the weight of time and the imprint of a life-altering experience. In front of it, the body is isolated,… vulnerable, a barely visible presence.
This work engages with my previous pieces through its use of chiaroscuro, the tension between presence and absence, and the concept of space as a container of memory, as seen in Material Memory and The Wait. It is a fine art print on 310 gsm, 100% cotton, acid-free paper, free of optical brighteners, using Ultrachrome HD inks. Limited edition of 5 + 2 APs, signed, numbered, and with a certificate of authenticity.

Salva Nebot (Spain) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work has been exhibited in international institutions, galleries, and art fairs. His practice encompasses photography, painting, sculpture, and digital art, shaping a language that moves away from literal representation to explore subjective interpretation and the conceptual dimension. Influenced by the sensibility of German Expressionism, he articulates a critical reflection on perception, memory, and human experience. His work is characterized by formal rigor, the intense use of chiaroscuro, chromatic asceticism, and narrative fragmentation. Through light, shadow, and the superimposition of layers, he activates spaces of ambiguity and poetic density. His research addresses memory, absence, and oblivion, inviting the viewer to an interpretive threshold where the visible coexists with the latent.
