About this artwork
In this abstract composition, titled “Protest,” I sought to create, through abstraction, a visual metaphor for social unrest, collective struggle, or the clamor for change, using texture alongside a chromatic range, where golden and warm tones allude to fire, often a symbol of revolution.
Although it is abstract, one can sense volumes that evoke a human figure. In the central area, where dark tones are combined with golden reflections, it can be… interpreted as an “emotional core.”
The title immediately suggests a collective action, an act of resistance, a demonstration; it is like a symbol of confrontation between forces: light versus shadow, order versus chaos, repression versus expression.

Salva Nebot (Spain) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work has been exhibited in international institutions, galleries, and art fairs.
