About this artwork
This surreal artwork, rendered in colored pencils, is dedicated to the mysterious twelve nights of Christmas – that special time between December 24th and January 5th when the old passes away and the new is born. Each night represents a month of the coming year and invites reflection, cleansing, and realignment. The first night (December 24th/25th) represents January and asks: A look back at the past. The second reminds us of the inner light that… shines within us. The third calls for us to treat ourselves with more kindness and to connect with the wisdom of the heart. The fourth night teaches the power of letting go, the fifth illuminates relationships – with others and with ourselves. The sixth night is about resolving family entanglements, while the seventh marks the transition into a fulfilling year. The eighth night celebrates the joy of life – 365 new opportunities for the new year. The ninth night opens the door to intuition...
