About this artwork
In addition to acrylic paint in shades of blue and silver, I used salt in this painting. Light blues blend with deep nuances, creating a luminous, aquatic atmosphere. The water lilies appear to be viewed head-on, while the water simultaneously suggests a view from above. This results in an open, dynamic space that defies easy categorization.
Metallic, silver-colored elements reflect the light, giving the surface depth and vibrancy. The use of salt… creates organic, crystalline structures.
The vertical flow of the color movement gives the image a meditative yet dynamic effect and invites free interpretation.
