About this artwork
A bullfighter, draped in his luminous costume, unfurls his red muleta before the bull. The black animal, hunched over, lunges towards the fabric, drawn in by the precise gesture. The yellow sand of the arena contrasts with the solemnity of the red and black, accentuating the impression of an age-old ritual. The scene is frozen, yet everything about it breathes movement and tension.
Here, I wanted to capture the choreographic beauty of the bullfight,… that suspended moment where death is put on display. The "pass" is more than a technical gesture: it encapsulates art, mastery, but also danger. In this confrontation, man and animal seem bound by a silent pact, both fascinating and tragic.
