Title – She Carries the Sea
Concept :
This work extends from my previous explorations of Women and Flowers series, where strength and tenderness exist in quiet harmony.
Here a woman lifts her catch with calm resolve, as though she caries not just the fish, but the weight and rhythm of the sea itself. In contrast, the soft pink flower in her hair holds a sense of gentleness and inner stillness. The painting unfolds as a dialogue between endurance… and delicacy, between what is held outwardly and what is preserved within. The surrounding waters mirror her depth and quiet resilience. Here, strength is not separate from softness – it is shaped by it.

Nature, to me, is not merely a subject but an emotional landscape. My work explores fleeting, often overlooked moments where light, texture, and stillness converge to create something deeply felt.
Drawn to flowers, leaves, water, and subtle atmospheric shifts, I use acrylics, watercolours, and occasionally cotton threads to build layered compositions rich in emotion and texture.
A recurring theme in my practice is the exploration of women and flowers, inspired by everyday scenes of women adorned with flowers in quiet, unguarded moments. Over time, these works have evolved from simple observations into introspective narratives, where the female figure becomes a vessel for memory, silence, emotion, and human connection.
Through my work, I seek to create contemplative spaces that invite viewers to pause and reconnect with quiet beauty.
