About this artwork
Mother Earth is a series of four paintings created on 10-inch round canvases, conceived as a unified meditation on the feminine divine.
Each work presents a back-facing female figure , her head - a black circular form that suggests a womb, a cosmic cycle, or an eclipse. By showing the woman from behind, the viewer stands with her rather than observing her, allowing her presence to become universal and archetypal.
The surrounding black space operates… as a generative field—symbolizing the quiet, unseen labor of creation that both surrounds and emanates from her.
Across the four works, Mother Earth is explored as Provider and Nurturer, as Source of Life, as Living Being, and as Home and Connection.
Together, the series reflects creation, sustenance, vitality, and belonging, forming a contemplative cycle of origin and return.
Nature, to me, is not merely a subject but an emotional landscape. My work explores fleeting, often overlooked moments where light, texture, and stillness converge to create something deeply felt. Drawn to flowers, leaves, water, and subtle atmospheric shifts, I use acrylics, watercolours, and occasionally cotton threads to build layered compositions rich in emotion and texture. A recurring theme in my practice is the exploration of women and flowers, inspired by everyday scenes of women adorned with flowers in quiet, unguarded moments. Over time, these works have evolved from simple observations into introspective narratives, where the female figure becomes a vessel for memory, silence, emotion, and human connection. Through my work, I seek to create contemplative spaces that invite viewers to pause and reconnect with quiet beauty.
