I have lived in many places in the world. Travel to Africa, Jamaica, and Europe formed the foundation of early artistic and cultural influences in my artwork. Exposure to a broad range of art at a young age was a major inspiration for the direction of my life and career. Later, I attended an arts high school in Dallas, TX and began studying painting, drawing and crafts. I moved to San Francisco at age 17 where I studied painting and photography at the San Francisco Art Institute and obtained my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
I consider myself a globally influenced artist and express myself through painting and photography.
I am inspired by nature and want to create something beautiful in my work. I enjoy taking the initial visual impression a bit further using my own style and techniques. Almost all of my work is landscape painting and photography, with an emphasis on lighting which I think is essential and transformative.
