About this artwork
Compelling interest in collage's potentially torqued and fragmented spaces prompts the use of collage as a reference and subsequently the subject. The divided composition between 2 disparate faces evokes a schizophrenic or bi-polar psychology and a refusal to allow the image settle into a single interpretation.
Oil is my painting medium of choice. The disrupted nature of the subject(s) will hopefully sustain an animated quality so that the image… refuses to go static. Style, for me, is multifarious array. I wholeheartedly embrace being all over the place.
