About this artwork
This picture tells of parallel worlds: On the left, two opposing blocks face each other - red against blue
like a military maneuver -- while on the right a continuously brightening color story rises from another
Past, merging into an open, bright phase.
Quotations in color: The "`Blues" against the "`Reds"; an inverted golden arch and glued-on corrugated cardboard, parallel to this the transitions from dark green to light yellow, gold stripes… as a supposed part of a medal ribbon and a continuous, almost black half-arch: >>epos<< tells stories that communicate with the viewer's world of thoughts: an ode to the joy of life and the infinite possibilities of abstraction.

Siegfried Bausch, a versatile artist, moves between painting and sculpture, his roots lie in mathematics and civil engineering. Using acrylic paints, he uses gestural abstraction and geometric precision, which create an effective contrast. With the help of his art, he expresses the contradictions between idealized social ideas and experienced reality. His abstract works encourage the viewer to explore personally and reflect emotionally.
