About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to capture the suspended moment between seeking and appearing. The face slowly emerges from the darkness, like a thought taking shape, fragile and uncertain, yet determined to reveal itself. It is a curious figure, listening, peering out from a dense and profound interior space.
Black and brown envelop the scene like a silence, while the golden light that passes through the canvas represents a possibility, a hope, or perhaps… simply the slow passing of time, while something, or someone, waits.
Every sign, every drop, is part of that dialogue between presence and absence. Waiting here isn't emptiness: it's tension, desire, discovery. It's a suspended moment in which anything can still happen.
