About this artwork
"EVENING" is more than a painting to me; it's a sensation, a moment. As we walk, the day fades and the shadows lengthen, enveloping everything in a dark blanket. In this canvas, I tried to capture that very moment, the depth of black that symbolizes the advancing night, but also that dense, material texture that is life itself, with its rough edges and reliefs.
Then, suddenly, light emerges from the darkness. It's not a blinding light, but a subtle… glow, a promise that emerges on the horizon, just like when you glimpse the light of your house at the end of a long driveway. It's the confirmation that, even in the darkest moments, "wherever you go, there's always a bright side." This is my hope, my belief, imprinted in every white brushstroke struggling to emerge from the black, creating a contrast that is not only visual, but deeply emotional. It's an invitation to always seek and find that point of light, wherever you are.
