About this artwork
WORK MADE ON HIGH QUALITY 300 GR/m2 COTTON PAPER.
In this work, I move between deep, textured nuances, as if the surface were traversed by time. The dark color retains the silence of the wet earth, while the light lines emerge like branches, roots, or bare trees that intertwine and seek each other.
Light doesn't illuminate everything: it filters, flows, and insinuates itself like water between cracks, creating irregular and vivid contrasts. It's… a light that passes through, not invades, and leaves fragile, almost worn traces.
I paint a more than real interior landscape: a forest seen up close, when you can no longer distinguish the tree but feel its presence. The shapes break, recompose themselves, as if eroded by water or the passage of memory. In this dialogue between darkness and light, I seek balance, I listen, I breathe.
Silvana Di Vora, a self-taught artist, uses watercolor, acrylic on canvas, and scrap materials to create works brimming with light and movement. She experiments with figurative and abstract art, using rapid brushstrokes and intense monochromes, highlighting the three-dimensionality and luminosity of unexpected details. Her works, often melancholic and dynamic, convey that even from darkness, the most intense light and vibrant color can emerge, instilling vitality and hope in the viewer.
