About this artwork
This work is a diptych. In my work, The painting has different textures due to the parts that are slightly embossed because they were created by gluing plastic elements that were then painted. I am interested in the contrast of textures and the gestures of the painter's paint strokes.
I primarily expresses myself with gestures and textures provided by certain materials. I explores different materials whose textures form part of the painting and thus… creates a whole of specific poetics. My great love is working on different materials and different techniques but always emphasizing gesture, marks and of course, color.
I felt that through this kind of labor, I could speak some kind of truth about who I was as an artist and person.
