About this artwork
Autorretrato. De la serie "Sincronicidad" Tecnica doble exposicion, toma unica. Primera toma fue en una estacion de tren en la localidad de Fatima, provincia de Buenos Aires, sin funcionar desde hace varios años. Es de uso como un lugar de paseo actualmente. La segunda fotogarfia es un autorretrato en mi hogar. En esta obra exploré la conexión entre el caminar de la vida y el camino que elegimos, usando la superposición para fusionar ambos conceptos.…
Quise transmitir esa sensación de introspección y búsqueda personal, donde cada paso se siente y pesa. Al colocarla en tu espacio, traerá una energía profunda, invitándote a reflexionar sobre tu propio viaje y los senderos abiertos ante ti.

Silvina Batista (Argentina, 1973) is a contemporary fine art photographer whose work explores identity, inner states, and symbolic landscapes through stages of photography and poetic self-portraiture.
Rooted in a conceptual approach, her practice uses the body as a narrative device, constructing images that oscillate between presence and absence, intimacy and distance. Her photographs evoke silent atmospheres, where light, gesture, and space become carriers of emotional and symbolic meaning.
Batista's work has been exhibited in Argentina and internationally. Her artistic book of self-portarits is part of the permanent collection of The Center Ceramique Library in Maastricht, the Netherlands. She has been recommended by Singulart Gallery for presentation to galleries participating in Paris Photo, reinforcing the international projection of her work within the contemporary photography scene.
She currently lives and works in Argentina.
