About this artwork
Pictured bottom left. Limited edition mono print of only 10, on Ilford textured cotton rag 310gsm with archival inks. Signed and numbered. Professionally framed (oak on sides, black on front of frame) under fluorescent acrylic.
The artwork documents some of my many expeditions and interactions. Perhaps unremarkable at first glance, I find quiet beauty in the ugliness of the ordinary. A narrative of exposing the anonymous unfolds through manipulation,… both physical and digital, the rhythmic repetition and overlapping of imagery gouging beyond the superficial.
Other photos show the artwork installed in the exhibition space, where I created an entire urban environment for this solo show.

Sioux Tempestt is an artist based in Australia whose paintings have been featured in several solo exhibitions nationally. Living in the inner-city, she is influenced by the urban landscape that surrounds her. As a result, Tempestt's striking compositions fuse abstraction with a more "edgier" urban style. She primarily creates with acrylics, oil pastels, graphite, and collage on wood or canvas.
