Is there no escape, is there no escape?
What there is is a mother bear with a thick, wet pink fur
and is trying with all her might to get her puppy from the art side of the river.
Seems no one can stop her, not the sharp rocks,
not the night nor the rushing torrent.
Everything seems to be against her, yet she tries, continues to swim and fights against everything to save
that ball of bristly white fur that he carries on his shoulders.
Above… her there are only the stars, darkness and silence.

« He who works with his hands is a worker, he who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman. He who works with his hands, his head, and his heart is an artist. »
Sofia Battisti is an artist based in Italy whose paintings have been featured in several solo and group exhibitions nationally. Her art explores themes relating to the love of nature and animals.
