About this artwork
The initial subject, the cliffs and their strata, is interpreted in an abstract manner, inviting the viewer to delve into a world of subjective perceptions. The contours of the cliffs blend into a free artistic expression, evoking more the sensation of these geological formations than their literal representation.
The artist's freedom is matched by that of the viewer, who is invited, whatever the theme, to enter the canvas to bring his own interpretation… and allow himself to be invaded by his own emotions.
The color palette is dominated by black and white tones, reminiscent of the chalk cliffs of the Pays de Caux in Normandy. These contrasting hues create an atmosphere that is both dramatic and serene, where light and shadow dance in harmony, capturing the very essence of ever-changing nature.
Frame: American box in natural or black wood of your choice.
