About this artwork

“Opus XVI – Infinite Eyes” is a large-scale mixed media work where vision becomes architecture. From a central core, the canvas splits into alternating triangular beams: some filled with dense circular clusters that evoke countless eyes or cells, others covered with rhythmic black dashes on a pale ground. Thin red lines hold the structure together like energetic veins.

The muted grayscale palette, contrasted by these red accents, gives the piece… a cinematic, almost mechanical atmosphere, while the heavy modeling paste keeps it tactile and physical. The work can be read as an enormous iris, a cosmic scanner, or a symbolic field of awareness – an image of being seen and seeing back. It is a powerful statement piece for collectors drawn to abstract geometry, psychology, and the idea of expanded perception.

My name is Sotiris Christodoulou, a Greek contemporary artist working primarily with acrylics on canvas.

After many life experiences and personal storms at the age of 52, I made a clear decision: to dedicate myself fully to what I have always loved most — creating.

My work explores rhythm, geometry, balance, and energetic connections through abstract compositions. Each piece is part of my ongoing Opus series, where form and color interact like a living visual language.

I began this focused artistic journey recently, and within a short period I have completed multiple original works, each one reflecting growth, discipline, and passion.
