About this artwork
"Dreamer is a man with his feet firmly planted on the clouds". This aphorism by Ennio Flaiano inspired my work Dreamer. At the base of the painting there is a massive blue stripe, which represents reality, wakefulness, consciousness, the straight line that condemns one to a single direction of thought; they are the chains that bind man to immanence. But on a lilac background, which evokes a faint chimerical sky, blue "lashes" stand out, like rays,… which strike reality and represent the dreamer's rebellion. Above, the dreamer floats elusively in a yellow-orange movement, which is his energy, his scream against the blindness of those who do not dare to abandon themselves to imagination; it is his daydreaming. The dreamer floats elusively and defends his freedom with tenacity, he is a man "with his feet firmly planted on the clouds". The dreamer is the flâneur of the sky.
« My art is a mirror of contemporary man: the deeper one looks, the more consciousness is stirred. This is where beauty comes from. »

Di Loreto uses his art as a tool to raise awareness in society on issues such as climate emergency, pollution, globalization but also to stimulate the human soul to a more interior and profound reflection on time, consciousness and ethics of contemporary man. He has created a unique and recognizable style that he called "Conceptual Deconstruction".
