About this artwork
In "Landscape 1," I evoke these paths that cross, separate, and reunite, like our life trajectories. Shapes and colors interact, oscillating between order and chaos. I seek the beauty of choice, the movement of encounters, and the infinity of possibilities.
Stéphanie Bardy works primarily with collage, drawing on a rich background spanning Parisian art schools and experience in children's publishing. Her works are contemporary abstract art, with intuitive, graphic compositions that combine the power of geometric shapes with the vibrancy of bold colors. She cuts, assembles, and superimposes each fragment like a musical score, balancing symmetry and freedom. Her art invites contemplation and a silent, personal dialogue, seeking to make the invisible perceptible, while conveying intense emotions and poetry beyond narrative.
