About this artwork
Working in my Mediterranean studio, I entered a state of deep absorption meditation, allowing my consciousness to settle into the space between thoughts. In that profound stillness, I began to perceive what can only be described as waves of warm, luminous clarity—not something external to observe, but the very nature of awareness itself becoming visible.
Using Apple Pencil on iPad, I translated this interior vision into flowing cascades of rose-pink… and golden light. Each brushstroke was painted in a state of heightened presence, where technique dissolves and the creative act becomes inseparable from meditation itself. The work emerged organically over several hours, during which time ceased to exist in any conventional sense. The ethereal quality of "Clear Light" required sophisticated layering techniques to achieve that sense of luminosity that seems to emanate from within the canvas itself. I built the composition through hundreds of semi-transparent layers.
