About this artwork
This luminous work emerged immediately after returning from a silent meditation retreat in the mountains, where the thin alpine air seemed to dissolve the boundary between inner and outer space. The painting captures that precise moment when closing your eyes at high altitude reveals an interior sky more vast than the one above.
Translucent spheres of light float through layers of celestial blue and violet, like bubbles of pure awareness rising through… the atmosphere of consciousness itself. Each luminous orb holds its own quality of radiance—some sharp and crystalline, others soft and diffused—mirroring the different states of clarity experienced during deep mountain meditation.
