A paradoxical vision of a waterfall cascading beneath the sea, this semi-abstract work invites viewers into the depths of the subconscious. Painted in 1995 as part of an exploration of elemental consciousness, the piece captures the dreamlike experience of diving deep into inner awareness.
Light penetrates through layers of water, creating luminous passages that guide the eye downward into mysterious depths. The waterfall flows impossibly within… its aquatic environment—water within water—mirroring the recursive nature of consciousness exploring itself. Fluid brushstrokes dissolve solid forms into shifting currents of color and light, evoking the sensation of free-falling through liquid space.
This early work marks a pivotal exploration of light as both physical phenomenon and metaphor for awareness.
