About this artwork
On one of my early ‘swalkeling’ journeys, I came across a discarded plastic circle radius master. This find had led me to generate a range of work including an exploration of the sphere of the world and the idea of the planets in a series I originally entitled ‘Earth Day’, 'Warm Air' is one of this collection, with circles referring to planets.
This work uses gravity as a starting point to create lines and watermarks, here I use geometric abstraction… to create a narrative about the Earth and the beautiful colour and geometry of the universe.

Susie Wright is a London born artist and curator who lives and works in Germany. With environment at the heart of her practice, she uses a range of experimental processes to create her own personal iconography. Using her experience of place and landscape, she weaves concepts together into multi-layered collections. Works on paper, installation, painting and digital drawing, make up her portfolio.
