About this artwork
In this metaphysical space between reality and imagination, a solitary palm tree casts both presence and shadow. Evoking a sense of quiet isolation and mystery, I invite you to wander beyond the physical confines of the work to try and place this scene. Inspired by the metaphysical landscapes of the Italian artist de Chirico, these environments come from an imaginary space.

Susie Wright is a London born artist and curator who lives and works in Germany. With environment at the heart of her practice, she uses a range of experimental processes to create her own personal iconography. Using her experience of place and landscape, she weaves concepts together into multi-layered collections. Works on paper, installation, painting and digital drawing, make up her portfolio.
