About this artwork
In this piece, a soft, misty seascape creates an environment for stark geometric forms which include a sign, sourced from one of my 'swalkeling' trips, a fragment taken from a piece of printed packaging used to test the source and quality of the colours used on the original package. Here, I populate it with the essential colours in the scene.
This artwork encourages you to pause and reflect on the impossibility of this place, do you recognise any… of it ? How did it come about ? It asks you to interpret it for yourselves.
Inspired by the metaphysical landscapes of the Italian artist de Chirico, these environments splice the real with the imaginary, creating their very own conversation piece.
Available as limited edition custom print, with an opaque high quality surface, looking much like hand-painted gouache. It will be printed with a white surround, ready for your 30cmx30cm frame. Individually signed, editioned and dated by the artist.

Susie Wright is a London born artist and curator who lives and works in Germany. With environment at the heart of her practice, she uses a range of experimental processes to create her own personal iconography. Using her experience of place and landscape, she weaves concepts together into multi-layered collections. Works on paper, installation, painting and digital drawing, make up her portfolio.
