In ''Shadow play" I explore the metaphysical space between reality and imagination, one solitary bush throws more than one shadow, leaving you wondering about the location of the light source and if this work is describing the passage of time ?
Evoking a sense of mystery, I invite you to wander beyond the physical confines of the work to try and place this scene. Inspired by the metaphysical landscapes of the Italian artist de Chirico, these environments… come from the material reality of my earlier works to create an new imaginary space.
Available as limited edition custom print, it has a high quality matt surface, looking much like hand-painted gouache. It will be printed with a white surround, ready for your 30cmx30cm frame. Individually signed, editioned and dated by the artist.

Susie Wright is a London born artist and curator who lives and works in Germany. With environment at the heart of her practice, she uses a range of experimental processes to create her own personal iconography. Using her experience of place and landscape, she weaves concepts together into multi-layered collections. Works on paper, installation, painting and digital drawing, make up her portfolio.
