About this artwork
"Peaceful Passage" depicts a serene winding road traversing a lush, green landscape, seemingly inviting exploration. However, the road itself represents humanity's alteration of the natural terrain. While offering a "peaceful passage" for human travel, it carves through and fragments the once continuous wilderness, subtly highlighting the trade-offs between accessibility and the preservation of undisturbed natural habitats.

Syd Lawrence likes to create poignant, vibrant artwork inspired by nature and wildlife, and the every day. Syd aims for his work to appeal to all ages and make the viewer think deeply about the world around them while also making them smile.
His physical installation “Standing Novation” was selected to be showcased as part of the “Hack the Space” exhibit in the Tate Modern in London, alongside some of Ai Weiwei’s work. Previously as a founding member of a collective, known as We Make Awesome Sh, he created work for brands including Greenpeace, Google, Facebook and many others while also being commissioned by the Rolling Stones, Kylie Minogue and others. Their AwesomeWall piece was showcased in the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Syd has lived his life in many chapters, with his work spanning a range of different media and he hopes you enjoy his work.
