"River's Journey" showcases the immense scale and natural beauty of a vast canyon, yet introduces a stark human element that disrupts its pristine grandeur. The bridge, a linear construction spanning the winding river below, serves as a symbol of human dominance over the landscape. While facilitating passage, it also subtly intrudes upon the natural flow and ancient formations of the canyon, questioning the balance between access and the preservation…

Syd Lawrence likes to create poignant, vibrant artwork inspired by nature and wildlife, and the every day. Syd aims for his work to appeal to all ages and make the viewer think deeply about the world around them while also making them smile.
His physical installation “Standing Novation” was selected to be showcased as part of the “Hack the Space” exhibit in the Tate Modern in London, alongside some of Ai Weiwei’s work. Previously as a founding member of a collective, known as We Make Awesome Sh, he created work for brands including Greenpeace, Google, Facebook and many others while also being commissioned by the Rolling Stones, Kylie Minogue and others. Their AwesomeWall piece was showcased in the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Syd has lived his life in many chapters, with his work spanning a range of different media and he hopes you enjoy his work.
