About this artwork
There is a mountain pass in the Cascade Range of Washington State. It is less traveled than the others and if you pay close attention, you will see a sign that will lead you to a park. It is Deception Falls, a hidden water passage that roars with a river running through boulders and huge cedar trees. The deep gully creates shadows but if you find it at the right time of day, the sun will hit the water and turn areas of it a lovely shy green and…
the foliage an emerald green. The spray of the water keeps moss growing on the trails, trees and rocks and you feel it and hear the water, long before you see it. Until you can visit, I hope the painting can bring it to you.
