About this artwork
"Confidence" is a distinctive piece within the "Gravity" series. While other works in the collection explore yielding or adapting to downward pressure, this bas-relief embodies effortless resilience and a healthy detachment.
The straight, upward-reaching stems of the Allium seemingly ignore the pull of gravity. It serves as a metaphor for overcoming obstacles: rather than breaking through barriers or meticulously digging under them, it simply leaps… over them with a sense of irony. This artwork celebrates the humor and lightness required to preserve one's dignity and peace of mind in challenging circumstances.
Crafted via indirect plaster casting, the original clay mold was destroyed during extraction, rendering this an irreplaceable monotype.
This artwork was exhibited at the Chernihiv Regional Union of Artists.
Specifications:
Relief size: 35 × 35 cm
Framed size: 50 × 50 cm
Framing: Wooden frame, neutral gray backdrop
Ready to hang: Fitted with installed mounting hardware

Tetiana Yalovets (Junipеr ) is a Ukrainian sculptor specializing in botanical bas-reliefs, creating heavy, textured wall sculptures for modern interiors. She uses live plants to leave exact imprints in clay matrices, filling the negative space with plaster to permanently capture the intricate details and textures of each specimen—a process that ensures each work is unique. Her art explores the deep connections between the botanical world and human memory, evoking contemplation, wonder, and reverence for the beauty found in nature’s quiet, imperfect moments.
