About this artwork
In this work, carried by lightness and energy, I used abstract shapes and flowing colors to create an atmosphere of spontaneity and unknown possibilities. The use of watercolor allows the colors to unfold freely, giving a unique result every time. The composition of warm orange tones and deep grays evokes feelings of warmth and complexity that can have an invigorating yet calming effect in any room.
« Art is much more to me than just a job or a passion. It is like a friend, an advisor and a guide. Art is simply my life. »
Thomas Hain, a visual artist who focuses on painting and was inspired by a formative encounter with art in Italy. He experiments with the glazing technique on heavy, self-stretched canvases and creates relief-like surfaces by scratching, rolling and spatulas that create a tangible tension between form and color. His works radiate a dynamic calm and convey the balance between destruction and creation, which transports the viewer into the unique moment of creation.
