"Mischief" captures a moment of playful energy in my signature polygonal cubism style. Rendered in vibrant acrylic on canvas, this 80 x 100 cm painting depicts a cat mid-action—its pose lively, its spirit unmistakably cheeky.
Each geometric fragment contributes to a vibrant, tactile surface, layering warm reds and yellows with cool blues and soft neutrals. The angular forms abstract the figure while still evoking its joyful presence. The cat's personality… pulses through every sharply painted edge, eyes glinting with animated curiosity.
This piece belongs to my ongoing animal series, where i reinterpret familiar creatures through a contemporary cubist lens. Like stained glass catching sunlight, "Mischief" balances structure with spontaneity—celebrating not only the subject’s vitality but the painter’s hand as well. As with much of my work, the boundaries between realism and abstraction blur, allowing emotion and energy to come forward in full color.
