About this artwork
The feeling of moving forward steadily and without haste, understanding that the journey is also part of the destination. The gesture suggests conscious movement and enjoyment, reminding us that there is no perfect moment to begin and that today's energy is lost forever. An archetypal portrait of life's journey: presence, decisiveness, and the ability to savor each step without postponing what's truly important. A positive and stimulating piece,… ideal for a creative office, a hallway, or a personal space to remember that it's not all about the destination, but about enjoying the journey.
Tom Roy (Toni Ramírez, Vilanova i la Geltrú, Barcelona, 1976) is a painter of contemporary, direct and physical figurative language. She trained in business, marketing, market research, and art—an unusual combination that permeates her work. After studying at the Escola d'Art i Disseny in Tarragona, she specialized in contemporary techniques. Between 2011 and 2014, cancer led him to rethink his life and leave the commercial management of a multinational to dedicate himself completely to painting, until today. His work features monumental figures, oversized hands and feet, tense bodies, and contorted poses. He uses intense colors, decisive brushstrokes, and unconventional perspectives, currently favoring the use of almost dry oil paint. In 2025, he was selected as an Artist in Residence at World Art Dubai. He also participates in ART3F and FIABCN. His works convey energy, determination, and resilience, far removed from any naive optimism.
