About this artwork
The feeling of having crossed a boundary and discovering that ahead there are no walls, only the horizon. The body moves forward with momentum and lightness, charged with energy and curiosity, as if each gesture were pushing toward the unknown. An archetypal portrait of conscious beginnings: freedom, courage, and a desire to explore without permission or fear. An expansive and motivating piece, ideal for a creative office, a bright entryway, or a… contemporary living room where you want energy to propel the room forward.
Tom Roy (Toni Ramírez, Vilanova i la Geltrú, Barcelona, 1976) is a painter of contemporary, direct and physical figurative language.
She trained in business, marketing, market research, and art—an unusual combination that permeates her work. After studying at the Escola d'Art i Disseny in Tarragona, she specialized in contemporary techniques.
Between 2011 and 2014, cancer led him to rethink his life and leave the commercial management of a multinational to dedicate himself completely to painting, until today.
His work features monumental figures, oversized hands and feet, tense bodies, and contorted poses. He uses intense colors, decisive brushstrokes, and unconventional perspectives, currently favoring the use of almost dry oil paint.
In 2025, he was selected as an Artist in Residence at World Art Dubai. He also participates in ART3F and FIABCN. His works convey energy, determination, and resilience, far removed from any naive optimism.
