About this artwork
With this oil painting, I wanted to capture the inner strength and gentleness that coexist within us all. The intense expression and profound gaze suggest a rich and complex inner world, while the small bird symbolizes freedom and hope. This painting conveys a vibrant energy that awakens intense emotions and connects reality and symbolism in perfect harmony.
An archetypal portrait of quiet strength: intuition, self-loyalty, and contained tension… beneath a serene exterior. A piece with balance and depth, ideal for an office, hallway, or any contemporary space that values character without excess.

Tom Roy (Toni Ramírez, Vilanova i la Geltrú, Barcelona, 1976) is a painter of contemporary, direct and physical figurative language.
She trained in business, marketing, market research, and art—an unusual combination that permeates her work. After studying at the Escola d'Art i Disseny in Tarragona, she specialized in contemporary techniques.
Between 2011 and 2014, cancer led him to rethink his life and leave the commercial management of a multinational to dedicate himself completely to painting, until today.
His work features monumental figures, oversized hands and feet, tense bodies, and contorted poses. He uses intense colors, decisive brushstrokes, and unconventional perspectives, currently favoring the use of almost dry oil paint.
In 2025, he was selected as an Artist in Residence at World Art Dubai. He also participates in ART3F and FIABCN. His works convey energy, determination, and resilience, far removed from any naive optimism.
