About this artwork
Oil on canvas, 60 × 80 × 3.5 cm
MIA is part of the Urban series, a project in which I explore the essence of the city through expressionistic portraits of young people encountered on the street. The work captures that sense of contained calm amidst urban excess, as if the body were granting itself a pause while everything around continues to accelerate.
The oversized hands hold an everyday gesture that transforms into a symbol.… The relaxed posture engages with a gaze that observes, evaluates, and remains alert. The result is an archetypal portrait of contemporary urban youth, where exposure, desire, and vulnerability coexist without hierarchies or compromises.
A piece with a strong visual presence, designed to bring character and narrative to spaces such as creative offices, contemporary halls or living rooms that seek personality beyond the purely decorative.

She trained in business, marketing, market research, and art—an unusual combination that permeates her work. After studying at the Escola d'Art i Disseny in Tarragona, she specialized in contemporary techniques.
Between 2011 and 2014, cancer led him to rethink his life and leave the commercial management of a multinational to dedicate himself completely to painting, until today.
His work features monumental figures, oversized hands and feet, tense bodies, and contorted poses. He uses intense colors, decisive brushstrokes, and unconventional perspectives, currently favoring the use of almost dry oil paint.
In 2025, he was selected as an Artist in Residence at World Art Dubai. He also participates in ART3F and FIABCN. His works convey energy, determination, and resilience, far removed from any naive optimism.
