About this artwork
The picture shows a scene in Donostia, also called San Sebastian. The painter was a guest in a part of the city and was enthusiastic about the scenery in front of the bars. People walk from bar to bar in small groups, each drinking very little and communicating even more. The pouring rain doesn't stop them. Ulla Kutter painted this atmospheric picture on cardboard, which was then mounted on hardboard.
