About this artwork
Around Easter, I noticed an inspiring composition on my kitchen table, which I captured in my own way. The painting particularly reflects the longing for fresh green colours that comes with spring.
Urmas Puhkan
Estonia
Urmas Puhkan, a painter and sculptor with a background in ceramics from the Estonian Academy of Arts, explores the boundaries of painting, ceramics, and sculpture as his primary mediums. His technique merges figurative elements with abstraction, employing acrylic and oil paints on plywood, shaped by a deep understanding of form and texture from his ceramic and sculptural practice. His emotive artworks invite viewers to see beyond reality, offering an atmospheric journey into personal interpretation, memory, and the mysterious beauty found in the ordinary.
