About this artwork
The focus of the picture that I painted in my own garden in May is a blossoming apple tree. Its large white flowers shine against the dark green conifer in the background. In the foreground, white-yellow daffodils grow next to light blue perennial forget-me-nots. Two plant pots, one of them in strong turquoise, stand in front of a red and white bleeding heart and together form an attractive color contrast. The oil paint is pasty and expressively…
applied with brushes so that the structures of the vegetation emerge three-dimensionally. The light is captured impressionistically.
The edges of the heavy and dense canvas are painted. Two sturdy picture hanging eyelets are attached to the stretcher frame. The picture can be hung directly. The signature is on the front.

« I prefer to paint outside. Wind, light, and air can be felt in my pictures. »
My artistic practice is based on direct observation and a deep connection with the natural world. I work primarily with oil and watercolor paints and am drawn to painting outdoors, where the ever-changing qualities of light, atmosphere, and weather become active participants in the creative process. These shifting conditions influence not only the visual character of each work but also its rhythm, energy, and emotional resonance, making each painting a unique response to a specific period within a day.
In addition to plein air painting, I develop works inspired by my own photographs and everyday experiences. Instead of documenting reality, I transform these impressions into compositions that move between abstraction and figuration, exploring the balance between memory, perception, and emotion.
