a network of threads.
They hold them together.
The choice of colours and the gestural style of the picture convey strong emotions such as passion,
Anger or joie de vivre. Diagonal and overlapping strokes suggest movement, almost like a storm or a dance-like gesture. In terms of storm and movement, the work appears like a frozen moment in the midst of raging events. The curved lines and blurred surfaces are reminiscent of… violent gusts of wind that churn everything around. Orange-colored surfaces, which the artist calls "shreds," seem to be pulled through the space by an invisible force. The whole thing appears as if something is breaking apart or tearing apart. Despite the chaotic appearance, there is a kind of inner rhythm. This visual language creates a sense of unrest and, at the same time, a fascinating dynamism. It allows for many interpretations.

The German artist Uwe Beyer, born in 1959, lives in Coswig, near Dresden, and in Düsseldorf. He studied at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle (1988–1993). Uwe Beyer's paintings emerge more from mindfulness than from control. The material is allowed to move, resist, and settle. Form is not imposed but develops organically—stabilizing briefly before dissolving back into openness. Each work exists in a tension between presence and withdrawal, density and emptiness. It exists as a self-contained object while simultaneously eluding complete visibility. Instead of composing images, his practice creates the conditions for their emergence. These paintings do not represent the world.
They reveal the conditions under which form – and thus reality – comes into being. What remains is not an image, but a trace of becoming.
