About this artwork
Red dots.
How they shine!
Hello, here we are!
This picture impresses with its powerful, abstract composition and the reduction to form and color,
characterized by strong contrasts: bright orange-red areas and deep black shapes
enter into dialogue with the dominant turquoise-green in the background. The black shapes appear like
dynamic curves or frames that both capture the orange surfaces and set them in motion.
An irregular, partially broken… color structure reinforces the impression of process
and change. The multiple overlaying of color layers creates a kind of deep space,
in which the orange shapes seem to float. When viewed, fields of tension
between warmth and coolness, openness and heaviness, as well as movement and calm.
This picture is less about representation than about making contrasts and energies tangible.

« When I'm in the process, I do not think. I let the process guide me. »
The German artist Uwe Beyer, born in 1959, lives in Coswig, near Dresden, and in Düsseldorf. He studied at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle (1988–1993). Uwe Beyer's paintings emerge more from mindfulness than from control. The material is allowed to move, resist, and settle. Form is not imposed but develops organically—stabilizing briefly before dissolving back into openness. Each work exists in a tension between presence and withdrawal, density and emptiness. It exists as a self-contained object while simultaneously eluding complete visibility. Instead of composing images, his practice creates the conditions for their emergence. These paintings do not represent the world.
They reveal the conditions under which form – and thus reality – comes into being. What remains is not an image, but a trace of becoming.
