Spirits of Ash and Ember explores what remains after fire -the fragile threshold between destruction and renewal. The composition unfolds in a subdued, atmospheric space where matter appears to have settled, yet continues to hold warmth.
Thin washes of ink and strands of silk thread move gently across the surface, recalling traces of smoke as they disperse and reform. Ember tones dissolve into grey, while subtle marks of red persist beneath the… ash, suggesting latent energy rather than extinguishment.
The work reflects transformation as a quiet, ongoing process. It evokes the beauty that lingers after burning, and the sense that renewal begins not in spectacle, but in what survives and slowly reconstitutes itself.
