Spring is here, or so we thought. The trees and flowers are in bloom, then winter returns with a layer of snow. A beautiful splash of colour in a white cover of snow, nature unveils its unusual beauty.
A spontaneous, heavy-textured composition of soft pastel colours twisted with some shimmer of gold paint.
The painting is painted on professional linen stretched onto extra reinforced with aluminium and wood under frame guaranteeing no skewing.… Sides 4.5 cm thick and painted so framing is not necessary but could be added if you wish to. Finished with a UV varnish to protect against sunlight and dust damage.

Vania Bouwmeester Pentcheva is an established Bulgarian artist based in the Netherlands who has exhibited her work nationally, as well as in South Africa. Moved and inspired by nature, including its presence in urban landscapes, she explores her emotions, memories and philosophical thoughts through the composition of abstract paintings full of dynamic shapes and colours. Textures and colours spontaneously arrive on the canvas, though structured layering is carefully thought out.
