About this artwork
The clear, calm structure of the large building above the colorful roofs of Bad Segeberg immediately reminded me of the facade of the Acropolis. Not because of the material, but because of its attitude: This austere building towers over the town like a silent observer, elevated yet connected to everything below.
Greek architecture has always fascinated me. Its lines are simple, yet full of meaning; its proportions austere, yet warm. Each element… stands alone, yet blends harmoniously into a larger whole – a perfect balance of clarity and soul.
As I gazed at the colorful houses, at the roofs in yellow, pink, and blue, I understood: Art works this way, too. Individual shapes, colors, and contours, which at first appear chaotic, find their own rhythm. And suddenly, something timeless emerges. Something lasting. Something that endures—like a modern Acropolis bathed in yellow light.
