A simple ribbon, once tied to a luxury purchase, becomes here a symbol of memory. Its delicate folds, texture, and shifting shadows reveal more than a mere accessory: they carry the elegance, the identity, and the history of fashion.
Inspired by Christian Dior, whose vision transformed fragility into sophistication, this work reflects on how objects can embody entire worlds. The ribbon is small, ordinary, yet it holds presence and quiet dignity.… In its silence, it becomes universal — a fragment of beauty, an intimate reminder of what we choose to treasure.

Veronica Colanero worked as a fashion designer in Italy and London, an experience that strongly shaped her artistic vision. Today, she is a full-time artist based near Paris, working primarily with graphite, charcoal, and Pierre Noire. Her hyperrealist drawings isolate figures, objects, or fragments, transforming them into poetic studies of beauty, identity, and memory. Whether through a view, a gesture, or an everyday object, her works explore the fine line between surface and depth, appearance and emotion. Blending precision with sensitivity, Veronica creates pieces that feel both intimate and timeless, inviting viewers into a quiet space of reflection and resonance. This selection represents a curated part of her practice. Alongside these originals, Veronica develops other series, limited editions, and fine art prints, continuing her exploration of elegance, memory, and identity — extending her creative universe, with additional pieces visible on her website veronicacolanero.com.
